Foundation Colorthon

Some 350 people braved the scorching heat Sept. 25 for the 2nd annual Lompoc Hospital District Foundation Colorthon – and helped raise $20,000 for the nonprofit.

The Colorthon at River Park also attracted more than a dozen vendors and food trucks and kicked off with an energetic Zumba workout by Cynthia Bittle.

The Foundation is in the midst of a $2 million capital campaign to raise funds to renovate Lompoc Valley Medical Center’s skilled nursing and post-acute rehabilitation facility, the Comprehensive Care Center.

Join us for fundraising, golfing and more. Your entry fee of $150 per player includes a tee prize, a free lunch, your round of golf, a cart, a buffet dinner (at the Village Country Club) and an array of prizes. Bring a guest for the buffet awards banquet for an additional $25 per person. This tournament is limited to only 144 golfers. We recommend early registration.

Three unique homes and one senior day center, each beautifully decorated for the winter holidays, are set for touring Sunday, Dec. 13, for the Lompoc Hospital Foundation’s annual Holiday Home Tour and Candlelight Tea.

A special thanks to all who donated and raised money for the Lompoc Hospital Foundation Colorthon. The foundation's first Colorthon event on Saturday October 24 raised $10,766, with 326 people registered for the 5K run and walk. The funds will be used to renovate rooms at the Comprehensive Care Center (CCC).
